Mr. Roop believes that a huge part of the sport is Mental. In classes you can expect to run, wrestle, box practice and learn new patterns, play Kadachi (stick fighting), run the states and/or countries and listen to some "Commercials." These "commercials" include the reasons why not to smoke, do drugs, and why to eat right. Kids learn the Pattern Chon-Ji which means Courtesy. When we perform this pattern we say: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, Indomitable Spirit, Spirit, Balance, Focus, Speed, Power, Commitment, Responsibility, Don't Smoke, Say No To Drugs, Don't Drink At All, Buckle Up, Eat Right, Don't Worry; Be Happy, and Watch Your Mouth!
